In “Weightless”, Getty Images’ Sports Photographer Adam Pretty beautifully documents the art, dedication, and passion of athletes and coaches from USA Artistic Swimming from above and under the surface. The film highlights the stories of Andrea Fuentes, Bill May, Anita Alvarez and Jacklyn Luu, sharing their love for the water and performance, as well as what brought them into the sport and what it was like qualifying for the upcoming Olympic Games Paris 2024. Their journeys are illustrated in a way that captures the beauty of artistic swimming and showcases how water emulates the weightless feeling of comfort—a safe space or second home—where they can be physical, expressive and creative all at once, where anything is possible. Bo Kramer is an athlete playing Wheelchair Basketball for the Netherlands (Orange Lions) She is a current Paralympic Gold medalist, European Champion and World Champion. This is her story.
Bo was diagnosed with bone cancer aged 11 and needed major surgery on her legs. Her experience in conquering cancer has shaped her journey not just as an elite athlete, but in what she plans to do with her life. Bo just graduated university after studying to be a physiotherapist, and plans to continue her studies and complete a masters degree in child cancer research.
