I recently traveled back home to Sydney to be part of a Canon Inc. TVC, and also shoot the print campaign for the latest and greatest Canon professional camera - the 1dx mkII. It was my first time in front of the camera and it was probably one of the most nerve wracking things I have done, as I am much more comfortable hiding behind the camera taking pictures. I collaborated with with an amazing creative team from Dentsu Inc. in Tokyo, and the job was produced by Spinnaker Films http://spinnakerfilms.com/?lang=ja in Sydney. I photographed athletes Emma Nedov (Gymnast) and Jake Stein (Long Jump) over two days (in the never ending Sydney summer of 2016) and was amazed at the improvements made in the autofocus, frame rate and also the cinematic quality of the files produced by the 1dx mkII at high iso over the original 1dx, which was already pretty amazing. I cant wait to give the camera a massive workout over in Rio for the 2016 Olympics.
